Give your patients the therapy they deserve.

Pratherapa turns session notes, research, and patient health data into personalized insights so you can focus on the patient, not the paperwork.

About

Mental health care generates an incredible amount of information. From conversations and assessments to research and the many factors that shape a person's experience, where each piece can provide valuable context. But when information and data are fragmented, it can be difficult to see the bigger picture.

Pratherapa's vision is to make that information and data more connected, meaningful, and useful. We want to bring the right context together at the right time, helping care providers spend less time searching for information and more time focused on the patients they provide care to.

Every patient is different, and understanding them requires looking beyond any single piece of information. We envision a future where the different parts of a patient's mental health journey come together to reveal patterns, provide context, and support more informed care. We believe technology should strengthen, not replace, the human side of mental health care. Our goal is to build tools that help care providers and their patients better understand each other while treating personal information with the privacy and security it deserves. Pratherapa is being built with HIPAA compliance in mind, with safeguards to protect patient information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

We believe mental health care can be more connected, more informed, and more human with technology, and we’re building toward that future together.

Meet the Team

  • Chetan Prasad

I’ve come to understand how important mental health care is and wanted to find a way to make a positive impact in this space. Having seen people close to me struggle with mental health challenges, I’m passionate about finding ways to make a meaningful difference in their lives. With my background in project management, I’m excited to bring my experience to a team that shares my passion for building a product we genuinely believe in and are proud to share with others.

All my life, I’ve stepped in multiple paths that I never really knew worked. Though as I grew, I always remembered this: “if something that works feels like magic, there’s something I’m missing”. It nagged at me whenever I pushed forward in life, working on creative hobby after creative hobby, looking through the art, writing, and programming I’ve made. That’s when I found a purpose: helping others in therapy know what steps they can make towards developing themselves.

I came on to work on Pratherapa, because I believe that path to growth can be made clear with proper care.

Augmenting human thought is one of my primary goals of my work, and mental health is essential for that purpose. However, understanding what is wrong with the mind is incredibly difficult, with many often spending years just to understand their condition. I believe the way forward is to make it possible for all parties of treatment, from care providers to patients, to think “unthinkable thoughts” and create insights that haven’t been possible before.

A lot of my work is open source, and has been used by many individuals, small startups, and even large companies. I would like to offer the same level of transparency for care providers and patients with Pratherapa.

I’m an established software engineer. I got involved in this because my grandmother went untreated for her mental health issues for the majority of her life and needed better support than what ended up being available. I believe all people should have a say in their mental health care, and should always have access to a wide variety of treatment options. I’ve built comparably sensitive and complex systems for other companies, but I know this will be the biggest and most worthwhile challenge of them all.

  • Surya Tirumalasetty

As a tutor and software developer, I have navigated environments engaging with people from all walks of life. I have spoken with friends and family that have navigated a variety of interpersonal challenges related to different domains including work, school, and etc. From gathering the main points from those discussions, a consistent pattern emerged: effective ways found to be helpful had elements of self exploration. My goal for this project would be to find ways to help individuals navigate those periods of self exploration.
